TONGHUA CONFERENCE CITY

Tonghua，a beautiful city，is located at the foot of Changbai Mountain at the South-east of Jilin Province．At the west，it borders on Kuandian City，Hengren City，Xinbin City and Qingyuan City of Liaoning Province．At the North，it abuts on Dongfeng City，Panshi City，Huadian City of Jilin Province．At the east，it borders on Jingyu Town，Jiangyuan Town and Baishan City of Jilin Province．At the south，there is Yalu River between Korea and Jilin Province．It is 125 Kilometres from the east to the west，and 238 Kilometres from the south to the north．The population is 2．2 million．

In spring，there are strong dry winds．In summer，it is warm with a lot of rain．Autumn is cool and winter is long．Tonghua is located in the development area of Changbai Mountain and Yalu River．It is picturesque scenery．There are many peculiar natural，pat or historical sights．All these are the good basic for travel development．

Tonghua shares it's splendor with Ji'an，a beautiful city at the riverside of Yalu River．The climate is warm．It is called“Small Jiangnan”of Jilin Province．Over the Yalu River，there are two hydroelectric installations，built by Korea and China．They are Yunfeng Hydroelectric Installation and Laohushao Hydroelectric Installation．The dams stand tall and upright，which make the rushing water become calm like a mirror．The landscape is as beautiful as Guilin．In the Yuhuang Moutain Park，there are many，many inimitable sights．Old trees reaching the sky，and Yuhuang pavilion，Watching River pavilion，Nine Dragons pavilion and Yuhuang maze and so on．It was the capital of Gaojuli．There are many historic sites for 1500 years．Royal cemetery formed by huge granite—“General Tomb”is called“Oriental Pyramid”． In the“Five Casques Tomb”and“Changchuan First Tomb”，there are visual frescos，which describe the developments of politics，Economy and culture of Gaojuli Period．And the old and grand“Good Tai King Stele”is the grate important words to textual research the history of Gaojuli．

In the suburbs of Tonghua，there is a stalactite hollow，like a waterfall，unearthliness．At the mountain skiing resort of Jiangnan，there is ropeway and good snow．In Huinan Town， there is a“trigonal dragon sinus”，which is a crater lake formed naturally by breaking forth of old volcano．Sheer mountains make the lake in a shape of a triangle．The huge stones at the south of lake are like edges，reaching the sky．On Luotong Mountain，flourish woods，deep and serene cavities，free streamlet，Ying'ebu reservoir，Wanwanchuan hydroelectric installations and Sanxianjia forest park are formed naturally．They are wonderful article excelling nature！
